Kahoot vs. Quizziz: More than just a game 

Presenter:

Martha Sidury Christiansen

Bio:

Dr. Sidury Christiansen is an Assistant Professor in the Bicultural Bilingual Studies at UTSA and a former Fulbright Scholar. She specializes in the research and teaching of sociolinguistics and digital literacies among bilinguals and English language learners. She has taught numerous online and hybrid courses, and she promotes technology for the enhancement of teaching and learning, especially of second language writing.

Workshop summary: 

In this workshop, we will explore Kahoot and Quizziz and learn the different ways to use them effectively for the language learning classroom. We’ll discuss how the appropriate use of these platforms goes beyond gaming and fun and actually taps into language learning and teacher productivity. BYOD. Participants are encouraged to download and open an account before the workshop.
