For Online Presenters
Please follow these guidelines to help you prepare for your presentation at the TexLER 2024 conference while ensuring a smooth and well-managed session.
- Your presentation is allocated:
- 20 minutes, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session (for research-based and practice-oriented presentations).
- 40 minutes, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session (for workshops).
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet environment for your online presentation. Test your microphone, camera, and screen-sharing capabilities before the conference.
- Remember to check your time zone for your scheduled presentation.
- Make sure you have installed the most updated Zoom application. For your Zoom account, please follow this naming convention, Presenter_Last Name, First Name (e.g., Presenter_Romero, Jerry)
- On the day of your presentation, ensure you are in your assigned Zoom room at least 10 minutes before the start of your session.
- Make contact with the session chair so they are aware of your presence, make you a Co-host to enable your screen sharing, and introduce you when the time comes.
- A virtual help desk will be available for uploading and presenting your materials. If you encounter technical difficulties, inform your session chair immediately.
- The session chair will send you a direct message five minutes before the end of your session. A second direct message will be sent to indicate the end of your presentation. Adhere to the allocated time to ensure a smooth flow of the conference schedule.
- After your presentation, the session chair will moderate a 5-minute Q&A session for questions and discussions. Be prepared to engage with attendees.
- Your digital certificate of presentation will be awarded immediately after your session.
